Mumbles

The great thing about moving somewhere new is that it can feel like you're on an extended holiday. It's so nice exploring new places and being pleasantly surprised by what an area has to offer; a 5 minute stroll can easily turn into a 5 mile adventure, filled with lovely new discoveries!

It's a wonderful opportunity to really get to know your area, ask the locals for places that they recommend (I've discovered that taxi drivers are great for recommending places to eat!), and make your home really feel like home.

One of my favourite places is Mumbles, a headland situated on the western edge of Swansea. There are lots of lovely things in Mumbles; Joe's Ice Cream, the boutique shops in Newton Road, Oystermouth Castle, seafront restaurants, and Mumbles Pier are just a few of the attractions.

However, in this blog entry, I thought I would share the beautiful springtime views with you:

Maritime pine trees overlooking Swansea Bay
The perfect spot for a quiet moment and a flask of coffee!
I love it when the tide is out

I'm not actually sure who loves the Mumbles the most..this little chap was certainly enjoying himself!
